  • Extensive knowledge and practice in biocides, mode of action and their applications
  • Hands-on experience and skills in organic synthesis and antimicrobial tests on different biocides and products
  • Comprehensive knowledge in analytical methods such as NMR, MS, HPLC, FTIR, UV, DSC, TGA, SEM and flash chromatography
  • Computer: Proficient in MS Office, ChemOffice and HyperChem, familiar with AutoCAD

  • Synthesis and characterazition of two series of high potent antitimicrobial colorants with quaternary ammonium salts (QAS) structures
  • Design and implementation of different antimicrobial test methods to study the antimicrobial property of the colorants in aqueous solutions
  • Study on the applications of the anitmicrobial colorants on polymeric materials such as fabrics (acrylics, wool, nylon and polyester) and PP fibers
  • Systematical study on the adsorption behavior of the colorants on acrylics including adsorption kinetics, thermal dynamics and equilibrium isotherms
  • Investigation on the properties of the colorants as gemini surfactants with increasing hydrocarbon chain lengths and different number of cationic centers
